Amber Room Counselling

Welcoming you into a space of care and change

How I Work

You deserve a space where you feel truly seen and safe.

At Amber Room Counselling, I take a person-centred approach, grounded in humanistic psychology and built on three core values:

  • Empathy – truly understanding your inner world

  • Authenticity – offering you honesty and presence

  • Unconditionality – accepting you exactly as you are

I won’t give advice or steer the ship. Instead, I walk alongside you — supporting you at your pace, whether you're gently exploring or diving deep.

Together, we’ll work to build your self-confidence, self-trust, and inner clarity; so you can move forward in ways that feel right for you.

Person-Centred Therapy Can Help You:

  • Feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and choices

  • Build confidence and resilience to face life’s challenges

  • Discover a stronger, more grounded sense of self

  • Grow in ways that feel genuine, not forced

Your Therapist

My work is trauma-informed and rooted in person-centred theory and practice — a relational approach that places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the healing process.

Who I Work With

I work with adults from all walks of life, and I specialise in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people navigating trauma.

You’re welcome here; whatever you’re facing.

You might be:

  • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck

  • Processing trauma, self-harm, or painful past experiences

  • Struggling with self-esteem, motivation, or burnout

  • Facing relationship challenges — like people-pleasing, attachment wounds, or abuse

  • Grieving a loss or struggling with loneliness

  • Exploring your identity, neurodivergence, or sense of self

  • Feeling lost or unfulfilled in work or study

Or maybe you just need a safe space to untangle what’s going on inside.

I am due to complete my studies in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice at the University of Nottingham. I am a student member of the BACP and NCPS.
